Gene Solutions Thailand at the Annual Meeting of Thai Breast Disease Society 2024: A Journey of Insight and Innovation

The Annual Meeting of the Thai Breast Disease Society, held from August 21-23, 2024, at the Siam Crown Prince Room in the Royal Golden Jubilee, Bangkok, proved to be an enriching experience for all involved. This year’s gathering was a momentous occasion, bringing together leading experts in breast disease to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest advancements in breast cancer care treatment.
At this significant event, Gene Solutions Thailand proudly participated with a focus on enhancing the understanding and application of cutting-edge technologies in breast cancer care. Our primary objectives were to communicate the significance of K-TRACK’s dynamic capabilities in minimal residual disease (MRD) detection and personalized relapse monitoring by analyzing circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in breast cancer patients, and to discuss the reimbursement opportunities associated with identified actionable mutations. Our discussions also touched on the clinical value of molecular cancer diagnostics, such as comprehensive genomic profiling.

The highlight of the event was the symposium held on August 22, where Prof. Dr. Pornchai O-Charoenrat delivered a compelling presentation titled “The Role of ctDNA in Breast Cancer: from Laboratory to Real Practice.” Prof. Dr. Pornchai shared 04 different breast cancer cases where patients were benefited from ctDNA indicators, including follow-ups results on two cases spanning in 1,5 years.
Reflecting on this event, we are inspired by the spirit of collaboration and shared dedication to advancing breast cancer care. Gene Solutions Thailand is committed to supporting the medical community with innovative solutions and meaningful molecular insights, ensuring that cancer patients receive latest advancements in Next-Generation Sequencing technology and monitoring practice.
