Gene Solutions’ Introduction to Medical Societies in Singapore

At the BPOF & APGCS 2024 (Biomarker & Precision Oncology Forum and the 11th Asia-Pacific Gastroenterology Cancer Summit) held at Academia, Singapore, Gene Solutions showcased our trademarked MCED test, SPOT-MAS, and Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) test, K-TRACK, to oncologists from Singapore, Malaysia, India, UAE, the Philippines, and other Asian countries.

Ms. Van Anh Nguyen (MSc, Oncology Research Associate) attended the conference to present the latest data from the study “Prognostic Value of Post-Operative ctDNA in Solid Tumor Cancers.” This abstract highlighted the clinical applications of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the management of liver, colorectal, and gastric cancer, demonstrating how MRD tests like K-TRACK can help oncologists evaluate treatment responses and accurately monitor the risk of relapse.

In addition to providing MRD results, the K-TRACK test also identifies tumor profiles, including somatic mutations, germline mutations, and microsatellite instability (MSI) status. This comprehensive approach underscores the company’s commitment to “enabling access to precision oncology.”

In the field of early detection, the SPOT-MAS test garnered significant interest and inquiries from conference delegates. With the announcement that the test is now available at Gene Solutions Genomics Singapore Lab, doctors and other healthcare practitioners in the region will have a valuable tool to screen for 10 common and aggressive cancer types that currently lack effective screening methods.

Company representatives fielded questions about test accuracy, sample collection methods, laboratory certifications, and post-test management protocols. This engagement demonstrated the keen interest of oncologists in the region in understanding and applying ctDNA in multi-cancer early detection and minimal residual disease detection.
