Outstanding Vietnamese Scientists Honored at the Alexandre Yersin Award

We were incredibly proud as scientists from Gene Solutions and Institute of Medical Genetics continued to be honored at the prestigious 4th Alexandre Yersin Award (2023-2024). This is not just a title, but also a recognition of the relentless efforts of Vietnamese scientists in research and development in medicine. Furthermore, the success of the scientists from Gene Solutions and the Institute of Medical Genetics is a clear testament to the strong development of the Vietnamese medical field.

Alexandre Yersin is best known for discovering Yersinia pestis, the bacterium responsible for the bubonic plague, and for his lasting contributions to Vietnam’s medical, educational, and agricultural development, where his transdisciplinary approach and compassion for the local population left a profound legacy. 

The Alexandre Yersin Award for Outstanding Papers was established by the Swiss-Vietnamese Medical Association (HELVIETMED) to honor Vietnamese scientists who have made significant contributions to medical literature, helping build Vietnam’s reputation in the international medical research community through peer-reviewed publications.
