United for Early Detection at the IKN Pink October Carnival 2024!
On 5th October 2024, Gene Solutions Malaysia had the honor of participating in the IKN Pink October Carnival 2024, an event dedicated to raising awareness and fostering a sense of community around cancer prevention and early detection. This year’s theme, “Living Well, Living Together,” captured the essence of unity, strength, and awareness, reminding us all of the power of prevention, early detection, and the impact of effective treatment.
The carnival was officiated by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister, and was attended by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Health Minister and YBrs. Dr. Mohd Anis bin Haron @ Harun, IKN Director.
One of the day’s highlights was a recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records for creating the largest pink ribbon formation with 2,050 participants, symbolising a unified commitment to the fight against cancer.
At the Gene Solutions Malaysia booth, our focus was on the vital role of early cancer detection. We focused on sharing the importance of early screening through our Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) test, SPOT-MAS, which uses advanced ctDNA technology to detect early signals of 5 common and aggressive cancers. Our booth also provided an interactive experience for visitors, where they could take part in raising awareness by sharing photos and messages of support on social media, using hashtags like #earlydetection, #MCED, and #GeneSolutionsMalaysia.
The IKN Pink October Carnival was a profound reminder that through awareness, early detection, and collective action, we can make significant strides in the fight against cancer. Together, we continue to raise awareness, inspire action, and bring hope to the fight against cancer.
